Students shared their learning this week with parents at "The Changing Earth" gallery walk. We had several groups of students presenting how the earth changes over time. There was a demonstration of a volcano eruption, a landslide, a flood and several models of weathering and erosion to view. Students did an amazing job in their presentations.

Students were very busy this week working collaboratively with their Changing Earth groups. After researching information, taking notes, and preparing models and posters for their presentations, they have been practicing the presentations in front of their peers. They've been giving each other "Warm" (I really like how you projected your voice loud and clear..) and "Cool" (I'm wondering if you could have more eye contact and keep your body still when you are presenting...) feedback to help each other refine their presentations. We look forward to sharing our learning with parents next Wednesday. For the culmination of "Our Changing Earth" project students chose a topic that they were interested in learning more about and spent the week learning about their topics with research. There were 4 different topics that related to different ways the earth's surface can change over a time period, Volcano's, Floods, Landslides and Erosion/Weathering. Students also created models to share all their learning in a presentation with their peers.
